Kestral at AOCR 2012

September 2012

Kestral recently exhibited at the 63rd annual RANZCR Scientific Meeting held from August 31st to September 2nd in Sydney at the Convention Centre. For the first time, RANZCR was combined with the Asian Oceanian Congress of Radiology (AOCR). A brief history of the annual institution is available from the following link on the AOCR web site.

A long time attendee and supporter of the annual conference, Kestral was represented at the conference by CEO Kevin Moynihan, Business Development Manager David Moran and Account Managers Lyn and Dom from our Sydney office.

This year's total number of registrations was 1,300; consisting of 900 registrations from Australia and New Zealand and 400 radiologists from overseas. The large number of international guests came from a wide variety of countries in Europe, Asia, North America, South America and the Middle East. Notably, there were delegates from as far away as the Czech Republic and as close to home as Indonesia.

The Kestral booth was located in the middle of the trade exhibition, close to catering and all of the main booths. All three days were abuzz with activity at the Kestral stand and it was great to have so many customers drop by and ask about what was new from Kestral.

At the conference, a special edition 12 page magazine (download PDF) was provided to all attendees and Kestral featured on the back cover. For those who were not in attendance, you can view the feature below.

As you can see, we showcased a fresh-faced Kevin Moynihan (CEO) from the pioneering days of Kestral. Just as interesting as a dashing young Kevin is the sight of an ancient CRT monitor - and is that a dot matrix printer?! Things have certainly changed since Kestral was established in 1989.

In all, it was an excellent three days and we'd like to thank those of you who came by and said hello. Next year's conference will be held in Auckland, NZ and staff are already putting their hand up for a ticket. We look forward to seeing you all there again.
