LRS Health MediBILL
In February, Jonas Software, through Kestral Computing acquired the Victorian based healthcare solution developer, LRS Health. LRS Health develops a suite of software solutions, including a Laboratory Information Management System, State-of-the-art Anatomical Pathology Solution, Hospital Wide Billing Systems and SMD Compliant Health Messaging Software.
Our MediBILL solution is an invoice and debt management suite that simplifies and consolidates the entire hospital billing process. It is able to produce a single patient invoice covering all charges relating to a hospital visit. Some of the key features of MediBILL include;
Integration with leading Laboratory Information and Radiology Information Systems and other hospital packages.
Direct electronic interfacing with (Invoice delivery to) Medicare Online, ECLIPSE for all enabled Health Funds, TAC, other enabled electronic funds managers, and fully integrated (with) electronic receipting.
Single, consolidated and aggregated tax invoices, including all episodes for pathology, radiology and any other service provider – such as surgeons, anaesthetists, pharmacy, physiotherapy or occupational therapy.
Easy manual intervention and remote access.
Overdue accounts automatically transferred to MediDEBT.
As part of Kestral’s commitment to bringing the very best in Pathology solutions to our users, we are currently working on ECLIPSE billing for PLS by interfacing with MediBILL. ECLIPSE is an extension to Medicare Australia's online claiming solutions and offers a secure connection between practices, public and private hospitals, billing agents, Medicare and Department of Veterans' Affairs and health funds. The improvements to the system will facilitate ECLIPSE billing functionality directly from PLS. Through the integration of PLS and MediBILL, Kestral hopes to provide our Pathology clients with a simple and efficient ECLIPSE solution.
More information on MediBILL can be found on the
LRS Health website. PLS and MediBILL
integration is expected to be available in the early stages of 2014.
