The Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Radiologists (RANCR) 64th Annual Scientific Meeting was held from October 17th to 20th at Skycity Hotel in Auckland, New Zealand. This year’s programme included notable international speakers, workshops and a range of social activities.
For the first time in its long history, the RANZCR conference featured a free mobile application for download, allowing visitors to access information about the RANZCR floor plan, programme, up-to-the-minute news and the businesses in attendance.
In attendance for Kestral were CEO Kevin Moynihan, Business Development Manager (BDM) David Moran and Project Manager Andrew Waddingham. Visitors to the Kestral booth were able to interact with a Karisma Version 4 demonstration on both a large touch screen monitor and a Microsoft® Surface Pro tablet device.
Visitors who interacted with Version 4 were able to get a firsthand, early look at the new Karisma interface that, whilst designed for touch screens, offers simplicity and efficiency when used with a mouse. Karisma’s data analysis and workflow integration was also on show. Initial feedback on these capabilities from those who saw it in action was overwhelmingly positive.
Kestral BDM, David Moran, remarked that the conference was very well organised; with higher than anticipated attendance, as well as high quality speakers, food and social events. David believes the release of the mobile application as a means of communicating with delegates was very well received.
Kestral is excited to be bringing our next generation RIS to the
Australian and New Zealand healthcare space in the near future. More
