Kestral 2009 - Year in Review
With the new year upon us, we would like to take the opportunity to wish a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to all our partners and clients and review the major milestones for the company this year.
2009 was a very busy and productive year for Kestral. During the year past, a number of Karisma installations went live; both for brand new customers and for current users expanding their organisations throughout multiple sites. We are also thrilled to have been named, along with Philips, as the preferred supplier for the State-wide RIS/PACS implementation for Tasmania.
Additions and improvements to our RIS product Karisma have been extensive in 2009, with the redesign of the Scheduling module (showcased at the 2009 RANZCR/AIR/FRO/ACPSEM Combined Scientific Meeting), the introduction of SMS Appointment Reminders and the Translation Studio, support for SpeechMagic integration and the ability to bulk import more items than ever before – including Account Types, Charge Departments and Resource Requirements.
Development of Katalist; our specialised Laboratory Information System has continued, with the Katalist Anatomical Pathology product getting closer to beta release. The finished Katalist product will offer such indispensible functionality as real time alerts for events such as urgent cases, accumulated data for live management reporting, detailed offline management reports and the ability to measure laboratory performance based on weighted metrics.
Looking forward to 2010, Kestral will be releasing Order Entry for Karisma, completing a number of important new installations and upgrading long term customers to the latest version of Karisma.
We hope and trust that you and your families, colleagues and staff all have a safe and relaxing holiday period and return with renewed vitality and enthusiasm for a great year in 2010.
