Voice Recognition on Show
The 61st Annual Scientific Meeting, RANZCR 2010 was recently held at the Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre. The conference featured vendors from all over Australia, as well as a good international contingent and various esteemed speakers.
As you are no doubt aware, Kestral is a regular exhibitor at the RANZCR meetings and this year was no different. Our booth, below a 3m wide banner promoting Karisma, was ably manned by CEO Kevin Moynihan and Business Development Manager David Moran, with help from Application Architect Gavin Morris and Support Consultant Donna Lenetsky.
Visitors to the booth were most interested in the extensive voice recognition capabilities of Karisma. Many took what was the perfect opportunity to receive a comprehensive demonstration of the VR system. Thanks to Philips' generous loan of an iSite PACS workstation with diagnostic display monitors, visitors were also able to see Karisma's extensive PACS integration features.
RANZCR was also an opportunity for Kevin and David to catch up with Kestral clients and Karisma key users and canvas their opinions on new features and future enhancements. The event also marked New Zealand office employee Donna's first visit to Perth and an Australian RANZCR meeting.
"It was good to meet` clients who are not currently on 2.0.9 and watch them get excited about the new Reporting features and screen layout. They were already happy with Karisma, but the new dialog was icing on the cake. Voice recognition also created quite a buzz and we had many participants eager to try it out. “
Kestral would like to thank our staff who made the exhibit
possible; with special thanks to Kevin, David, Gavin and Donna for manning the booth. Lastly, we'd like to thank everyone who came by
to visit and extend our warmest invitation to attend next year's
conference in Melbourne.
