Grahame Grieve : Ed Hammond Volunteer of the Year Award
In the second half of 2012, HL7 International held the HL7
Plenary workgroup meeting, where the 14th annual W. Edward
Hammond PhD Volunteer of the Year Award was presented. Named
after one of HL7’s founding members and most tireless
volunteers, Dr Ed Hammond, the award has been bestowed upon
significant contributions to HL7’s success since 1997.
Kestral is pleased to announce that long-time employee; now
consultant, Grahame Grieve was one of two recipients of the most
recent Ed Hammond award. A photograph and official announcement
of Grahame’s award conferral can be viewed on the HL7
International website at:
Writing about the award on his blog Health Intersections, Grahame stated,
“This is a particularly prestigious award, made to only a very few people who have gone beyond the call of duty to push the cause of HL7... The recipient list is a small and select bunch. I’m very honoured to have received this recognition.”
We would like to offer our sincerest congratulations to Grahame on this prestigious achievement. Your tireless work in the advancement of healthcare standards and interoperability is inspiring and has been suitably recognised with this important award.
