David Moran

Business Development Manager

Based in Melbourne, David has a keen insight to radiology and imaging technology. Over the last 25+ years, he’s been heavily involved in Imaging, including working as a Radiographer, then as a salesperson for Kodak’s X-Ray film solutions, and at Phillips in Nuclear Medicine solutions.

When the Imaging industry changed to viewing studies on PACS, David joined Sectra managing the PACS business in Australia and New Zealand. After which he made his way to Kestral.

When out of the office, you can find David at the local cinema watching the latest films. And on weekends, he happily cooks delicious food for family and friends.

Stephen Bettoli

Operations Manager

Driven by a desire to achieve better health outcomes for all Australians, Steve has extensive experience from working on the service delivery side of public health in Microbiology labs across Victoria.

As our Operations Manager, he has a keen eye for optimising the business and creating cohesion across the Kestral team. He started as an account manager with us and worked his way up through the ranks, always trying new things.

When he’s not thinking laterally about how to improve Kestral’s operations, you can find him at home playing console games, like Call of Duty.

Jan Sebire

Support Manager

As one of our longest serving team members, Jan has experienced just about every role possible in the Support and Professional Services teams at Kestral.

From help desk to customer account management, software upgrades to product testing, and even demonstrations and after-hours support. Jan’s variety of experience feeds into her role as Support Manager, helping our customers get the most out of our products.

Prior to joining us in 1999, Jan graduated as a Medical Microbiology Scientist in public hospital laboratories. She also worked as a laboratory technician, and at the RAAF hospital in Laverton.

When she’s not supporting our customers, Jan loves playing squash, cooking, travelling, watching sport and dabbling in amateur photography.

Andrew Waddingham

Professional Services Manager

A medical scientist by trade, Andrew has worked in radiology for the last 20 years. He has a Bachelor of Applied Science and worked his way through support and technical support roles before finding his way into installation and project management for Karisma at Kestral.

Amongst his many achievements with us, he’s most proud of setting up the New Zealand office. And on top of that, his role in the professional services team is far reaching, bringing lots of variety and customer interaction.

Known affectionately as “Waddo”, Andrew is addicted to CrossFit and loves the thrill of nailing a good lift (when his injuries allow!).

Vishal Bhuimbar

Chief Technology Officer

Vishal is an experienced Development Manager specialising in Healthcare IT. He’s been involved in the design and development (from the ground up) of Radiology Information Systems (RIS) and has in-depth knowledge of billing and integrations.

At Kestral, he enjoys engaging with our customers to get to the heart of their pain points. This, in turn, informs his work on our products. Designing better solutions is one of his passions.

A self-described ‘decent cook’, Vishal also loves playing cricket and listening to music.

Zac Zawalski

Head of Sales and Marketing

Zac is Kestral’s Head of Sales and Marketing, bringing 15 years in technology across software and professional services, including crisis management, systems integration, data and automation. He also spent four years running his own behavioural change consultancy.

At Kestral, Zac leads sales, marketing and strategic account management, and is building out our customer engagement function. He loves turning a “hairbrained scheme” into a real product alongside customers, and is known as the eternal optimist who’s first to jump into an uncomfortable conversation, always with lightheartedness, integrity and empathy.

Outside work, you’ll find Zac skiing (broken leg or not), cooking over an open fire, riding his motorbike or listening to music. He also claims a secret talent for bad but funny poetry, and counts a rugby culture change program and a mining industry wellbeing tracker among his proudest projects.

Brent Cahill

Head of Product

Brent is Kestral’s Head of Product, bringing 8 years of experience in radiology product alongside a background as a founder. He started his own company in 2011, building a team to launch a product for the gifting and retail industries in 2012, before running the business through to 2014. That experience taught him a great deal about product management, drive, vision and leading teams.

At Kestral, Brent brings strategic decision making, an eye for design and workflow, and a strong dose of empathy to product management, always working to understand customers and the people building alongside them. He loves working in teams that deliver something tangible, especially when it helps customers meet their own strategic goals, and finds health tech is the sweet spot where competitive drive and doing genuine good come together.

Outside work, Brent is happiest spending time with family, whether that’s over a boardgame, out surfing or scuba diving. He also claims a secret skill as a former Tetris champion, now put to use as a world class car-packer for road trips. Among his proudest projects is building specific patient pathways supported by triage and optimisation technology for stroke diagnosis, used in teleradiology for the NHS to help clinicians determine treatment and transport to specialist stroke centres.
