WA Health set out to replace the RIS and PACS supporting its metropolitan hospital network. The previous system was ageing, and the health service needed a platform that could support modern clinical workflows across multiple sites while giving practitioners more reliable access to images and reports.

Problem

The existing RIS and PACS no longer met the needs of a growing, multi-site health system. Issues encountered included:

Approach

WA Health’s Medical Imaging Replacement Program set out to deploy a unified RIS/PACS solution across its major metropolitan hospital sites. Analysis
